Most .22 pellets will average between 300 and 350 fps, depending on weight and how tight they fit in the bore. Crosman domes average 327 fps in a brand new otherwise unmodified P17.

Shooting the P17 with a .22 barrel is great. The larger pellets are easier to handle and the extra energy translates to better knockdown power. Puts down those mice, rats, and HOSPS with authority!

To install, open your P17, remove the two screws and the small strap that hold the barrel. Pull out the old barrel. Insert the new barrel muzzle first. Make sure it goes into the hole at the front of the "slide". Drop the barrel into position, replace the strap, then tighten the screws until they just stop - do to torque those down!

The barrel has been blued and oiled. Since these barrels are mostly hidden by the P17's frame, there sometimes will be minor machining marks on the surface. Look at the picture for detail. I've polished the loading port and crowned the barrel, so it is smooth where it counts!
