Picatinny Rail for Crosman 2240 and 13XX
Want to add a red dot sight or other optic to your Crosman 13XX or 2240, but don't want to add the extra weight and expense of a metal breech? Tried those intermounts and they aren't working for you? I developed this picatinny rail to provide a solid, but inexpensive option for mounting optics to these popular Crosman platforms. Purchase one for red dot mounting, or two at a discount for scope mounting.
- 3D printed from ABS
- 50mm long
- Secures in place with 4 pre-installed set screws
2240 - Start by unloading your 2240 and removing the CO2 cylinder. Remove your front sight and barrel band. Slip the picatinny rail over the barrel. Position it where you want it and secure it in place by alternately tightening the 4 set screws. Replace the barrel band and front sight. Do not overtighten!
13XX - Start by unloading your 13XX, making sure all air is discharged, and placing on safe. A board with a hole drilled in it, a hammer, a punch, and a 2mm hex key is what you need for installation. Open the pump, place the roll pin over the hole in the board, and drive the pin out with the hammer and punch. Slid the front sight assembly out and slip the picatinny rail over the barrel. Replace the front sight assembly, line up all the holes with the pump tube and pump lever, and carefully drive the roll pin back into place. Position your rail where you want it, then alternately tighten the four set screws until they touch the barrel. Do not overtighten!
