on your valve i think you need a oring on the 1/2" shaft to the rear of the valve and some sort of retention on the teflon seal

in the other pic I drew there is a retention spring and I will have one on my valve and as far as the o-ring around the shaft goes I woln't need one because im gonna machine it to .001 at the least tolerance

Yeah me to boar I started working on the, I guess you would call it the "probe" part of the valve yesterday...for the first valve I build im gonna do something a little smaller for a prototype than for the .50 cal valve... as it will be much cheaper... and then if it works well ill jack it up for extreme air flow

ya im thinkin of building one a bit smaller just kinda thinkin what i got layin around and what lathe tools i need to make / aquire still plannin i guess i still got a ballvalve gun a coax gun and a new project from work in front of it but i can plan

your hammer will have to overcome about 883 pounds of force to open @ 2000psi if i figured it corectly

Is that to empty the whole reservoir in one shot or just to dislodge the piston to allow airflow???
