Probably about time I do the same thing. Sorry I wasnt able to call yesterday, we got a terrible storm after I got off the chat, knocked out our power for a few hours too.  Sad Guess I need to dust off my hold pump project, or buy and inverter to use with an extra battery and a solar panel to charge...

ive run a ac compressor off a 1000 watt inverter and tried it off a smaller one it didnt run on the little one, never looked at the power requirements ill look and see what size inverter it would take but i think a inverter and battery big enough to handle it would still be a pack full
no problem on the call was just excited about the pump and fill valve etc

glad I hadnt tried that.  Grin I was thinking about using compressor oil, the type used for shop compressors. It should be fairly compatible with o rings and such. its probably pretty much the same as airtool oil.
