Hey guys, I am gonna post these up for sale now even though they have somewhat limited testing.. The darts are made to fit perfectly in a 1/2 inch copper barrel.. they are 4.5 inches long and weigh an average of 490 grains.. They are $20+shipping for 6 darts, for the forseeable future, I wish I could make them cheaper but with cost of materials and the hours of work I have into them that is the lowest I can go for now.. Delrin, or in some places it is called Acetal.. It is aircraft grade plastic, very strong stuff, and also very enjoyable to machine.. There is very little tool wear and the delrin has a smooth flat finish

1/2" copper but what "type" different types have different ID`s. 1/2" type "L" is .545 ID, type "M" is .569 and so on.

Thank you for bringing this question up Shooter.. I forgot to say that the barrel I made these for is 1/2 inch type "L" copper  .. But if you are in need of something different contact me,` the size of the head and the tail can be changed with relative ease

That is fine, I will say that it could be some time before I get a chance to do any testing.. I don't currently have any airguns that work the way I would like them to and their accuracy is not up to par because of the trigger mechinisms.. But I will try and get one going and test these out extensively

I got an airgun together today and did some penetration testing.. It is a basic ball valve gun with a 1x12 inch air reservoir.. Fill pressure was somewhere around 350psi.. Target distance was about 15 feet (not very far, but thats what I had to work with this morning).. Target was 3 pieces of 3/4 inch plywood.. I found that from 15 feet on 350 psi it will penetrate clean through 2 pieces of 3/4 inch plywoods or 1.5 inches of plywood total.. I added a little more pressure (about 500 psi) and found that it would penetrate all 3 pieces or 2.25 inches of plywood total.. I plan to test range accuracy some time this coming week.. I need some sort of sights first 

Note: This gun was designed to run at 800-900 psi, the pressures I used today were for example of what anyone would be able to achieve with basic, easy to build guns and pumps/compressors

Well I used the same dart for 5 shots if that tells you anything.. I did on shot #4 I believe it was end up with a slightly bent shaft (due to the way the target was set up, when it hit the target it was forced upwards, with a proper target this shouldn't happen) I took the bent shaft off, hammered it back to straight and shot it again.. This did not effect accuracy at the close range I was shooting, and since I didn't get a chance to shoot at any more range I don't know how the bent and then pounded out dart actually flew

I just had an idea that might reduce some machine time for you. Make the stabilizer cones, but in such a way that they can be attached to a standard arrow shaft. This would enable a selection of arrow heads and shaft lengths.
