If you bypass your tank and adjust the pressure switch you can get up to 250 psi with a cheap compressor lol
You say "bypass your tank" because it is not built to handle that much pressure?

Yes, I don't trust those tanks at that kind of pressure. It also will pressurize the airgun faster instead of filling the tank, then the airgun. A cheap garage sale compressor would be a great candidate for a project of this sort. Or use the one you have and give yourself an excuse to buy a bigger and better one for your shop  ;D Mine has handled 250 psi for years, it wont go any higher than that, though.

Well I guess once you know it won't go any higher, I guess you almost don't need a gauge.

I am currently using a PVC ball valve on my sniper, it wasnt the best move i thought at first, But to be honest i dont really regret it.
I find it the most reliable, Alot of the other types i have used let out the air to slow or in limited amounts, With just a really basic ball valve i can hold quite alot of pressure and get all the air out quick

The type of valve i am using (I was buying parts at bunnings and saw this, i was like what the heck ill just use this instead of thinking of a trigger mechanism)

really supprised how such a simple valve works so well!
