A verry cool idea

 So here we go don't lose me. My thought is to modify a pump air guns tube to pump up a massive reservoire of air. What I am going to do is take those high pressure check valves from mcmasters and design my own valve which will have a direct feed to my pump. I will probably have to pump It an awful lot but it's free so what the heck. I was thinking about an 8in. reservoire that is about a 1/2in. in diameter. I am going to design it like a Quackenbush were the air is under neath the barrel and it goes directly up no turn from the air tube to the barrel. It will still be a muzzleloader for now because I want it to be legal to hunt deer with if I get sufficient power. I will be pumping it to some where around 1.000 psi so I don't think we will have power issues do you.

That's a great idea, a multipump airgun can easily reach 1000 psi. Since they use leverage, it will be easier to pump than a shock pump and should fill your airgun faster as well. You are right, it will take a number of pumps to get it to pressure, but you really can't beat free. Keep us posted on this project, it sounds very innovative.

 All right so I have been screwing around with the pump airgun idea and I designed a better one by accident. So here's what I did I was checking out this guys blog and he fixes airguns, well he was making new piston cups for one of his guns and I said hey what if I made a piston cup like that and made my own pump!!! so that's what I am doing. So far it can build up enough pressure so that I can't hold it back with my hand so that incourageing. What I am going to do is put one of those check valves in my pump so what goes in doez not come back!!! And I will probablyt need a check valve on my gun too.

 Kinda but I decided that I was just going to break down and buy an airgun pump. See I need to go up to 1,000 psi and I just didn't think I could make something cheap enough to do this so I will spend the $200 and get a real pump. I am hoping to have it by september or october...
