Boynton-Banger new pouch attachment loops tube through pouch.

This is my all time record for a marble 5.2 g (80 grains) at 243 fps

Notice the new method of drawing.

Looking really good. BTW, do you still have your slingshot airgun you made a while back? I'm kinda interested in some chrony numbers as well as the length of the barrel if you have it still.

No sorry, it's been apart for some time.

However the Boynton-Banger is much faster than what I did before.

I am fairly confident that it would be as fast as the http://www.airowgun.com/pellet.php

I am designing repeating Boynton-Banger in my mind.

You capture the pouch, position it over the magazine feed, slide the trigger grabber mechanism around the pouch, lock, draw, aim, shoot.

A pump action Boynton-Banger.  Bamm, Bamm, Bamm...at 10 FPE.

Do you have any ideas, concepts, thoughts?

Joerg is going to build an over/under 2 shot X-bow.

New marble speed record for me!

256 fps today with a 42.25" draw.

The un-stretched rubber was 7.25 inches.

This is called a 5.82 x draw.

I increased its length 4.82 X.

At the firing position the trigger mechanism was within 4" if its maximum draw and close to the stock.

I shot it from the hip because I need 13" between the trigger and my shoulder.

256 fps 11.6 FPE or 15.6 Joules

Are you going to something similar to Joerg's anti-handslap / speed load video to capture the bands after the shot? That seems to be an important step. Your's draws backwards from his, I think your design is better suited for a mechanical reload. The capture band would need to be attached to a post on the rear to hold the bands in place while the trigger mechanism is slid forward. The mag can stay stationary where the bands come to rest after firing. When the trigger mechanism is pushed forward to capture the bands, it will push a pin out of the way allowing one marble to drop in the pouch. upon retracting, the trigger will reset, grabbing the pouch. The mag pin will slide back, preventing the others from falling out. I wish I could draw better, I can kinda see how the reload and trigger reset would work. I'm getting ready to go visit family, so I'll have to attempt it later if I get a chance. Such a design sounds great for target practice and small game hunting, I'm really looking forward to seeing this thing evolve.

The retract rubber will place the pouch in position.

I am planning a horizontal spring magazine with an ell turn up.

(or all balls are in the stock and you release one with the barrel pointed downward, it rolls into position like a bowling ball return)

After a shot, as the trigger mechanism slides forwards a ball is fed up into the open pouch.

Can you see it?

I like the balls in the stock idea, I can definitely see where you are headed with this idea. Keep us posted on your progress.  ;D
