Casting some slugs

Casted some slugs today here's one design I had more to follow and test results asap...not sure of weight but I would guess close to 800gr...

whoa, why the tail thing?  when i make slugs there just a short cylinder of steel.

The "tail thing" is a muzzloading sabot... you use on of these instead of a patch it catches the rifling better and prevents air from escaping...oh and FYI these slugs did not stabilize well I will be casting more very soon and ill post pics and keep you updated

yup will do next time I cast Jug...it's pretty simple actually just a coleman propane stove and some mold I make using rock maple and my drill press...I would like to use steel for my molds but until I get a good design down it's to expensive to experiment with
