I've always wanted to fill a tin can with cement and launch it with a potato cannon.  ;D If you can get a good cast, they should be pretty good ammo. Explode with a puff of dust when they hit a hard object.

I just tried casting a plaster slug from a small rifled section of barrel. When I got it out, it had really nice rifling grooves on it. I tried to put it in a longer piece of barrel (same barrel I took the small section from)... it was a really snug fit. Sealed 100% too but there was too much friction. You'd need at least 20 bar to fire that thing  ;D
Since I dont have a pump I just used a piece of all thread to get it out... the slug broke in the process.

I hope your cement is a lot harder then my plaster   ;)

concrete mic or cement/sand mix or just plain cement?   Remember your going to have some shrinkage 15 % to 20 %
are you going to wax coat these so the do not scare the barrow? inquiring minds want to know

the wax is a good idea, i'll do it. its mortar mix( cement and fine sand), plain cement was more expensive.

might try adding some fiber to your plaster mix  not sure what to suggest but maybe corn starch or fine sawdust might make that sofr plaster hold up a bit better
