i dont have a chronograph, but every time i shoot my gun my ears pop, does this have anything to do with breaking the sound barrier?

I doubt it... its just the sound of the gunshot... reason for me being slightly deaf on my right ear... too much shooting at 30 bar I guess. Cant imagine whats gonna happen when I ramp it up to 40 bar

you should get some of these ear plugs... you can get about 5 pairs for 2 dollars where ever they sell guns and ammunition

If you're very intelligent its likely you're arrogant but if you're arrogant you don't necessarily need to be very intelligent.

the difference in sound is that sub sonic goes "boom" where super sonic makes a crack, just like a whip. i don't use earmuffs much, i normally just use a silencer, although that does not help with sonic crack. also i normally shoot subsonic because it is more accurate and less loud. although in my town guns going off at random times is obviously not frowned upon.  :D
