The massive 1.00 cal finished!!!
« on: March 24, 2009, 09:36:47 AM »
So I made a new barrel for my airgun It's about 1.00 or so. I made this barrel for shooting shot but I found that a T? battery fits quite well!!! I shot the batteries a few times but because my co2 is low It wasn't as powerful as It could be. I shot it at a 1/2 in. compressed board and it went through no problem. Now all I have to do is figure out how to cast a roundball that big!!! The shot didn't go that well because as I said my co2 was almost gone but the pattern was good for the low power so on high power it should be nasty!!! I have an idea for a hand pump to that way I won't need to fill my co2 tanks as much. But I will get into that on another post.

Sounds like a killer barrel! I used a empty co2 cartridge as ammo in a 1" barrel before. I had to wrap it in duct tape to get it to fit, but it sure would make a big hole on impact. Have you tried using shot or BBs out of it? Man, a roundball that big would drop a mule...  8)

Yeah I mainly wanted it for shot. It works all right but I haven't tried it with a full c02 charge because my tanks are almost empty.

Have you gotten your CO2 filled up? I just found out that there is a paintball shop nearby that can fill HPA tanks! That means a purchase in the near future for me. (Once all the baby bills are done rolling in)  :'(

Nope I haven't had the time or the money sorry I want to shoot it some more but there are other priorities that had to come first. I spent most of my spending money on a new turkey gun for this season and the remainder on ammo and other necesities. I am all so working on a new gun anyway that doesn't use co2 so I may never buy it again... Check out the air systems page for details on my idea.

Also I would love to send you some pics to post on the site but my camera just decided that life was not good enough and it killed itself. So until we get a new one no pics sorry.

No sorry man I haven't filled the tanks because as you have seen I have been working on a hand pump that will go up to a little over co2 pressure some where around 1,000 psi...
