When you begin to open a ball valve does the in rushing pressurized air help the BV to open further?

in my experience yes it does, but only if the ball valve is well oiled.

wow.. didnt really notice this topic

if you want rushing air to open the ball valve then a gust of wind should be able to open it too  ;D
no seriously... it just doesnt happen

Connect 2 ball valves with a short connector. On one side of the ball valves place a  chamber with a filling valve. Hook up the ball valve between the other ball valve and the chamber to a spring trigger system. Open the other ball valve just a bit, pump the air chamber and trigger it. If the first ball valve handle moves, it works.

That is a reasonable experiment.

Perhaps the movement of the BV handle could trigger a second spring for even faster opening?
