Why not make your own out of hot glue? I cast some hot glue slugs the other day to test out a valve and realized that they can be made for a perfect fit in any barrel. I took a 3/4" piece of my barrel material, greased it lightly with petroleum jelly, greased a bit of plastic from a milk jug, and set the barrel material on the plastic. I then filled it with hot glue an put it in the freezer for a couple of minutes to harden. I then cut it into 1/4" lengths to be used as a base wad. If you are muzzleloading, ram that one down the barrel first. Then goes your ammo, whether it be shot, a bullet, or a dart. Then a wad made of a piece of paper towel to keep the ammo in and you are ready to shoot. My t shirt dart went audibly faster this way, tomorrow I will verify the results. Thanks to boar for getting me started down this line of thinking.
