Using 8,000 BTU A/C compressor: A few tricks

I learned that the hose clamp makes life easier.

Also, relieving the pressure makes the snap fitting a snap!

The blue rope is use as the 3 point lifting handle.

Stu, what is the max pressure you can get out of that compreser???

I have not taken it to its stall point yet.

It has gone to 400 psi.

I have no idea of how much higher it can go.

BTW I have another 8,00 BTU compressor from a  Friedrich A/C and it is MUCH heavier with larger copper, etc.

I haven't tried it.

Some folks use a pair of compressors in series for 800-1,000 psi.

I haven't researched it, but it is doable.

Nice compressor setup you have there. Great application for the hose clamp. Perhaps you could use two compressors to charge the gun faster. I've really got to get one. The compressor I have goes to 250 really fast, but it wont go any farther.

Note*   My compressor can go to 550 psi and live.

At 600 psi it begins to let the magic smoke out.
