fitting tyre valve
« on: September 04, 2009, 07:33:49 PM »
this is the area where i have a little headache. How do you fit a schrader valve into the end cap and make sure it wont pop out at high pressures. Must the hole you drill be the same diameter as your valve for a perfect fit ??? I fit a black circular rubber seal thingi, washer to the valve inside the endcap as an air seal, i fit it in place with epoxy and pvc cement. is this strong enough to hold the valve securely. ???

i worked on the end cap and schrader valve, and they fit well and airtight with epoxy. think i'll need a week to fully finish my work and do some testing. will take pics with my phone and try to post it up. :) Btw i'll need to keep below 60 psi, my parents orders. Dont want to spoil the roof when shooting starlings.
